Features that increase in-water performance:
- Higher insulation
- Decreased leakage at face and wrist seals
- Improved hand protection
- Combined with a HUEBA and personal locator beacon results in increased survivability
- Warmer when worn in the helicopter (due to increased suit insulation)
- Snug fit due to more effective "dry suit" like seals
- Built in hood provides protection against the effects of sudden immersion in cold water when zipped up
