During Your Flight

Flight time to most installations is 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 45 minutes. All seat pockets are equipped with boarding cards, and airsick bags. Please note that offshore aircraft are not equipped with lavatories. If you urgently require the use of comfort facilities in flight, please go forward and notify the flight crew, who will provide you with a TravelJohn disposable urinal.

In the event of a medical emergency in the cabin during flight, a passenger should go forward and notify the flight crew, who will assist with the procedure to be followed and alternative flight action to be taken. Each aircraft departing St. John's is required to carry sufficient fuel to travel to and land on an installation, and to return to shore without refueling. (Most aircraft refuel while offshore, as this enables us to expedite subsequent offshore flights). Many times, the aircraft will carry additional fuel to enable the flight crew to make several approaches to an installation in fog conditions.

Most aircraft in operation for Cougar Helicopters are equipped with a deicing system, which allows us to continue flying in harsh winter weather conditions.
